What we do:
Product design
At Pedal and Pack Studios, we believe in creating products for the cycling and outdoor industry that are not only useful and practical, but also built to last. We work with 3d files and various CAD programs.
Packaging design
We do structural packaging design that includes die line production, branding, graphic design, renderings, mock ups and factory or vendor communication.
prototyping
We love to use our hands. 3d printing, metal fabrication, welding, laser cutting, soft goods, and light electronics are all in our wheel house. We also don’t mind getting a little weird, messy or bringing art into what we do. The best things are made by starting rough. A lot can be learned breaking things while trying and observing.
Photo / video
Videos and pictures can really help with explaining products or how to fix them. Sometimes a simple video goes a long way to enhance understanding and communication.
electric bicycle/Vehicle design
Pedal and Pack Studios has designed or built multiple electric vehicle prototypes from custom made lithium battery enclosures to a vintage motorcycle electric conversion. We’ve engineered and built bicycle frames by hand. We have an in depth knowledge in both the design, packaging and spare parts management of electric bicycles/cycles.
factory and vendor communication
We really enjoy working with the people who know how to get things made. Talking with vendors and factories is built on experience and relationships. Were looking forward to talking about things like tooling and materials capability on our next project.
Project management
Pedal and Pack studios can plan out a project and timeline as well as partner with vendors.
Factory Instruction files and Tech packs
We communicate with vendors clearly and document our product specifications with drawings, technical packages for production and factory assembly files. We can also build Bills of Materials and set up part numbering systems.
Technical manuals and customer journey
We excel at thinking about products from the customers or user perspective. We create great instructions for product assembly, product maintenance/repair and safety. Pedal and Pack Studios has worked with both legal and technical writing teams to deliver the best instructions and intuitive imagery for the customer or user. We also like to build products that are made to be fixed, part of this process is good documentation.
